Objects may need to be positioned to allow liquids to flow easily and quickly. For dip pre-treatment take lift forces and air pockets into consideration.
Find the simplest possible hanging and masking method to reduce personal strain for staff. Use smart tools such as TPR.
How are goods transported througout the coating process? Type of conveyor or cargo carrier? What happens before and after coating? Perhaps reduced handling can make the process more efficient?
PLANT CROSS SECTION
What is the maximum goods size? Free space to conveyor/notched rail, type of cargo carrier/notched rail, potential slit openings.
Does the object need to be positioned in a specific way to enable efficient and simple coating?
Specify which surfaces are to be fully coated (A) and those that will not be coated (B).
Make sure that the object is securely grounded to potential-free earth every time to ensure even coating and coating savings for electrostatic coating.
DEGREE OF MASKING
Sometimes some splashes are acceptable on part of or on a whole non-coated surface.
Do you want to recycle masking material or not? This is often a matter of quality assurance.
ACCEPTANCE OF FLAKES
When reusing masking products old coating flakes may remain and contaminate later batches.
